macOS Installers Worth Your Time

Sometimes you need an older macOS version — maybe for a design tool that never got updated, or to keep a second machine humming along for bookkeeping. I keep a small, focused list of torrent mac os x installers that actually complete and don't waste an afternoon. Nothing fancy, just working disk images for three macOS releases I've relied on in my own shop.

What's on this shelf

What's in here right now:

  • macOS Catalina — solid for older Adobe apps and 32-bit software you're not ready to give up.
  • macOS Mojave — the last version that felt light on my old MacBook Air, great for a dedicated invoicing machine.
  • macOS High Sierra — if you've got an older Mac that can't go further, this one keeps it useful.

Each torrent points to a clean installer you can put on a USB stick with Disk Utility. Grab what you need and get back to work.
